Yorktown Heights, NY (February 5, 2016) – AFC Urgent Care, the second largest privately owned operator of urgent care and accessible primary care facilities in the country opened its doors yesterday in Yorktown. More than 300 community members, dignitaries and business leaders welcomed the new health care provider at their ribbon cutting and enjoyed tours of the new state of the art center.

Dr. Gupta, the Center’s Medical Director stated, “I am looking forward to being more involved with our patients, their families and our greater Yorktown community. Developing relationships, building stronger ties with the community and serving a town where urgent care is not accessible are the main reasons I am doing this.” Gupta also expressed a commitment to caring for the veterans in the community, accepting Tricare, the veterans’ health insurance plan.

The center will have an onsite lab and X-Ray equipment and offer pre-employment exams, drug testing, breathe alcohol tests, sports and school physicals, pre-surgical physicals and vaccinations. Open 7 days a week at its convenient location, 3379 Crompond Rd, Yorktown (in the BJs Plaza)      M-F 8-8, S-S 8-5, no appointment necessary.

Eric DiBartolo, president of the Yorktown Chamber of Commerce, said he was glad to have a new facility like this in Yorktown Heights. “This is so important to us,” DiBartolo said. “Yorktown is growing and we are so excited that you jumped on board.”

Yorktown Town Supervisor Michael Grace stated; “We are so proud to have AFC Urgent Care open their doors here in Yorktown Heights.  Their state of the art facility is a credit to our town and fills a need that has been lacking for far too long.” Supervisor Grace went on to say “we are even more excited that Seema and Dr. Gupta, two local Yorktown residents, have taken their dreams of helping people and put it into reality. Congratulations and best wishes.”
